oh just looking at the proportions of the frames. whether the size of the frames strictly follows the angles of the massing (narrow frames) or whether it skips a floor (wider frames). im not explaining this very well.
anyhow, i think we can employ both, depending on the overall size of the building. the large frames are nice to brig the scale of the big buildings down a little bit (like the 3rd one in the 2nd row) but i also like the scalar (like scales on a snake, not scale as in size) quality as opposed to big bricks on the smaller buildings (2nd one, 1st row).

i guess the small bricks are still bricks...but i like them more then the huge ones.
