Dallas Render Style
I was thinking that flat looking renderings like these might work for Dallas. Perhaps the facade wouldnt even have to be rendered and really is more of an applied pattern. Not sure how the turbines would get rendered though.

Also, they have a St.Petersburg competition proposal that seems exactly the same as OMA's. Weird.

But a different competition? But both in St.Petersburg? And one year apart? I have no idea.
ReplyDeletei guess they should expect clones.
ReplyDeletebut i am still not sure what exactly u mean with the facade... just for distance renderings?
we just have to make sure the facade looks best in the specific views of the renderings, right?
i am more worried about the close ups
ReplyDeleteCan't they too be flat/collagey?
ReplyDeleteI guess these just look like old-OMA collages.
Weirdly Im less worried about the close-ups.
ReplyDeleteSo I guess we are fine!
deal!
ReplyDeletethe balloons one was my main concern.
Well there's certainly no reason to recreate that view unless it works. Though the balloons stay. Ok Im going home.
ReplyDeletewe can just have a clear sky and balloons. i am fine with that.
